Donald Trump announced new tariffs on Canadian goods, including a 50 percent increase on cars, trucks, automotive parts, and steel.
The US implements these tariffs under a provision of the Tariff Act of 1930, which permits duties up to 50% on imports from nations deemed to be discriminating against American commerce.
