Sarah Ferguson's UK Return Coincides with Harry and Meghan's Arrival

Ferguson departed the UK in February, vacating Royal Lodge in Windsor. Prince Andrew, her ex-husband, now resides at Sandringham after also leaving Royal Lodge; removal vans collected some of Ferguson's belongings from his Sandringham home this week.

She spent seven months living abroad, reportedly at a Swiss Alpine chalet in Verbier. The former Duchess of York is said to have started renting a six-bed property for £10,000 a month, which reportedly includes three bathrooms and a “granny annexe.”

A source stated she had her eyes on a return for some time. The source added she had not had to worry about accommodation for 20 years, having shared Royal Lodge with Andrew.

Her expected return coincides with Prince Harry and Meghan's arrival in Birmingham from California. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, children of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are understood to be enrolled in a UK school.

Ferguson reportedly hoped to leverage the interest in Harry and Meghan's return to "slip under the radar" after her seven months away. "With everyone looking out for Harry and Meghan she thought she could slip back under the radar after seven months away," a source noted.

Ferguson is expected to move into her new place "imminently." A source stated, "Now’s the right time to get back to her life."

This move follows past controversies, including Ferguson thanking Jeffrey Epstein in an email a year after his conviction for child sex crimes. Thousands of copies of Ferguson's latest children's book were subsequently withdrawn from sale and pulped after the Epstein revelations; her international charity, Sarah's Trust, announced its closure.

Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor remains under police investigation over his own links to Jeffrey Epstein. The King stripped him of his titles.

Ferguson and Prince Andrew received the freedom of the city of York in 1987.
