Prince Andrew Alleges Balaclava-Clad Stalker Near Sandringham

"I saw a loose dog running towards him. He then realized who I was and began to sprint after my vehicle," Prince Andrew stated.

This testimony emerged in court, where Alex Jenkinson, 39, faces charges of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behavior towards Prince Andrew in Norfolk on May 6.

Court officials blocked Jenkinson from entering the building after he arrived with his dog, Indie. Claire Howell, Jenkinson's lawyer, stated, "He has had to bring his dog with him, so he wasn’t allowed inside the court."

Howell claims Jenkinson is homeless, residing in a Travelodge where he cannot leave the dog. She further claims the dog provides him support; he suffers from ADHD.

Deputy Chief Magistrate Tan Ikram addressed the situation directly. Ikram stated, "I’m not prepared to have a dog in the courtroom simply because he is homeless and he happens to keep a dog. I’m not saying he is not telling the truth, but there’s nothing to corroborate it."

Ikram added, "We accommodate people who have ADHD and have support animals. I would want something more than he is homeless and happens to have a dog."

Jenkinson has pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of blood while in custody on May 6. Evidence from Jenkinson’s phone, including alleged searches on Andrew, Sandringham, and 'weapons', will feature in the trial.

The interim Stalking Protection Order against Jenkinson was extended. A hearing to determine the full application requires Prince Andrew, Stephen Terry, and an eyewitness to give evidence again.

Deputy Chief Magistrate Tan Ikram affirmed, "I am persuaded that fairness demands the respondent to these proceedings (Jenkinson) be allowed to call and cross-examine these witnesses."

Jenkinson remains on conditional bail, with restrictions including not going near royal residences and not entering Norfolk. A pre-trial hearing is set for January 22, with a final hearing scheduled for February 16.
