Klass recounted the discovery: "Girls. Check yourselves. I accidentally felt a lump when I was at Wimbledon watching the tennis. I casually folded my arms and there it was. Then a second one."
The subsequent days unfolded with a brutal duality, moving "both quickly and agonisingly slowly."

The period of waiting forced a complete reorganisation of her life, establishing "a new set of priorities and ‘what ifs’."
She described the strange "reordering" required to return to "normal" after the relief of the diagnosis.
Klass documented her experience on social media, sharing a photo of her breast marked with two Xs, indicating where lumps were investigated.
Lauren Laverne, Julia Bradbury, Jools Oliver, Kirsty Gallacher, and Zoe Ball offered their support on Klass's post.

Lauren Laverne, diagnosed with a rare blood and bone marrow disorder, also commented, "Love you xxx."
Klass, a fierce advocate for women’s health, emphasized the critical importance of confronting discomfort.
She urged, "All this to say, as a fierce advocate for women’s health and not hiding what’s uncomfortable, right now, check yourself and go get a second opinion."
She reflected on the profound emotional toll, stating, "I have close friends going through similar experiences (at the moment) and it’s sobering, humbling and terrifying."
Klass highlighted the particular impact on mothers, adding that "It’s the having kids that anyone who experiences anything near this will know to be the first and final concern."
Klass has previously endured four miscarriages.
