Man Dies, Woman Critically Injured in Police Pursuit Collision Near Stratford-upon-Avon
Independent Office for Police Conduct launches investigation after black Audi crashes with white Ford Puma following failure to stop.

A man died and a woman was critically injured after two cars collided during a police pursuit near Stratford-upon-Avon.
The collision occurred shortly before 5:25 pm on Birmingham Road after an Audi driver failed to stop for police officers. The male driver of the Audi was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in a Ford sustained potentially serious injuries and was transported to Warwickshire Hospital. Several other vehicles also sustained damage during the pursuit, which reportedly unfolded around 5:23 PM on Monday, August 24.
The A439 Warwick Road remains closed from the Marraway roundabout to its junction with Ingon Lane and Sandbanks Lane. Roadworks completed two years prior aimed to reduce crashes, implementing a one-way system, a lowered speed limit, and a protected turning lane at the Ingon Lane junction.

Flavell stated, "Our thoughts are with the families of everyone involved in this collision and we’re providing specialist support to them at an extremely difficult time." The Independent Office for Police Conduct has declared an independent investigation into the death.
