Jeffrey Donaldson is to be interviewed by London police regarding an alleged rape.
The alleged incident occurred inside the Houses of Parliament. A woman from Northern Ireland claims sexual assault by Donaldson in the DUP offices in Parliament during 2016.
She alleges he attempted to make her drink vodka, then tried to kiss her and put his hand up her skirt. The same woman also alleges rape.
Donaldson reportedly invited the woman on a tour of the Commons, introducing her to high-profile figures. He then took her for dinner before bringing her into the DUP’s parliamentary offices.

The investigation is in its early stages. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

The woman later received a photo of Donaldson during the Covid lockdown. The image, sent via Snapchat, showed a filter across his face with a message: “Ready to face the world as soon as this isolation lark is over”.
Metropolitan Police confirmed, "The investigation is in its early stages. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."
Following his conviction, authorities stripped Donaldson of his knighthood and removed him from the Privy Council. His solicitor confirmed papers have been lodged for an appeal against his conviction.
